Many small coffee farms, once primarily managed by men, are now led by women producers. These women have stepped beyond traditional roles, taking charge of farm management and business operations alongside their families.
Yet, despite their dedication, they continue to face numerous challenges: low wages, limited market access, and no direct connection with final coffee buyers. Most earn less than CAD $490 per month, far below a sustainable income.
For every pound of coffee sold, $0.50 is directly returned to these women producers, in collaboration with our partner IndieGrow.
